On Forgiveness

"But if someone is steadfast and forgives, that is the most resolute course to follow."

Qur'an, 42: 43

I chose this picture from Nana. These girls represent true friendship for me.
السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Previously I wrote about tau'bah and the forgiveness Allah grants His creations despite all the bad deeds Muslims commit. I want to continue the topic of forgiveness in relation to everyday human lives. In my experience forgiveness has made me a happier person. I believe that forgiveness is an important attribute to living a peaceful  life. It reduces backbiting, grudges, and holds strong friendships together. It also helps people to respect and admire you. Forgiveness can also reduce the pain of loss or resentment. Most people struggle to forgive due to pride, shame, or pain. But if one looks past the deed and see's the person for who and what they are, add a little empathy or understanding, it may become a little easier to forgive and even forget.

How could you possibly forgive someone that hurt you so bad? Well ask some questions: Was it the first time? Was it their fault only? Did you have a reason for the out come? Are you being stubborn? How much does this person mean to you? Do they do this intentionally? Is it often? How much do you need them/love them? Are they worth it? Can they change? You might find it easier if you simply re-analyze your situation. Remember, we all make mistakes. Have a little faith in a person. Give second chances. Try and understand a person. Understanding and communication are the most important things in a relationship. Try to understand their  motives, their intentions and their reasons. Sometimes you just have to believe them and stop be skeptical in a time of doubt. I find people are to formal and polite. Be open, be honest.

I personally follow everything I have a written about forgiveness. I also studied psychology and am very interested in the human mind. I like to know what goes on in people's heads. If a person bothers me I try to understand them and tell myself I'm better. I forgive them if they have upset me and am nice to them despite but I pay no extra attention to them. If a friend has hurt me or I hurt them and they are worth it, I will say sorry no matter the situation and I usually forgive too if they have the guts to actually say sorry. Forgiving often leads to getting over the situation too. Talk about it with the person if it helps.

I hope this post helps someone to decide to forgive or get over a bad situation. Tell me about your own stories on forgiveness or about someone who has hurt you.

Forgetting is easier than forgiving. I'm not so mean that I won't forgive a person if its the first time they wronged me (unless its like a boyfriend cheating on me or something thats totally diff) but I won't let myself keep on forgiving y'know mean?

I really liked this post!

Thank you dear and thank you for always reading and commenting! <3

For me forgiving is harder then forgetting :( I often have memories hurt me but I try not to let it bother me or ruin the relationship.

For me it depends on situations too. Like if a friend is having a hard time I will continue to try and help them ~
