Q&A: Islam Sequence

"Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer, We will most certainly make him live a happy life, and We will most certainly give them their reward for the best of what they did."
Qur'an, 16:97

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

A question I have been asked recently, more than once, "Since you became a Muslim, how do you feel?"

Euphoric: I feel as if all, if not most, of my past problems have ceased. Whether my problems really have ceased or not, I have obtained the ability to take on the given dilemma with refined confidence. With the assurance of knowing who, what, when, how, and why, Alhamdullilah. I am undaunted, audacious, and liberated. I am in accord with myself and my surroundings.

Since becoming a Muslim I can see my true beauty, the truth of this world. I am no longer afraid of the many things that once refrained me, I conquered anxiety. I can focus, I can complete personal goals.  I can understand, I can forgive, I can move forward: manifest. Life has become unambiguous to my personal satisfaction. I was able to override my struggles, on my own, from the trust and faith I have entrusted in Allah (swt). By His will he has granted me promised happiness.

Tell me, how has Islam changed your life? How has/does it made/make you feel?

Whoever does good whether male or female and he is a believer,
so if someone is good person and he does not believe then is it that he wont become happy?

Hi SM thanks for the feedback and your question.

I'm not saying that non-believers aren't and cannot be happy. This verse in the Qur'an is Allah guaranteeing happiness to those who believe and want a certain kind of happiness. Finding happiness is one's own personal journey and my journey is finding happiness from Allah, in Islam, being a Muslim.

Define happiness? Different people have different opinions of what happiness is. For some it's love, living a life of fame, being rich, achieving certain goals. Life and happiness is what you make it. And I'm not saying what's right or wrong I'm just saying what is right for me and how Islam has changed everything for me.

I became a muslem since I was born but as an identity only. I didn't pray, I drank and did a lot of horrible things. but weirdly, I found an emptiness inside me. honestly, that time I was unhappy person. But alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah for gave me such amazing thing and clue from internet about the end of the day that made me began to open up the Qur'an. I read it from one chapter to another chapter then I cried alot. I realize so many things! My mind start to open. i stopped doing bad things, then finally I decide to wear hijab. My 'bad' friend left me one by one, some laughed at me when they saw hijab covered my head, but I ignored it.

Now I feel my life more meaningful and much much better with Allah as the only one protector. my friend now are much less than before but at least they're my true friend who understand my decision. I love ISLAM.

Salam, it is really nice to found a sweet sister like you!

I'm a born-Muslim, but I used to be indifferent about all those religion things. But as I grew up, learned about islam, I become really thankful that Allah still loves me and gives me a chance to see how precious this hidayah is.

Now I am much happier than before because I know why am I here in dunya, and I know that Allah is beside me wherever I go, even if people stare at me or say hurtful thing just because I wear hijab.

Have a blessed Ramadhan<3

xoxo, Rashka

mashAllah i loved this! you're so inspiring<3 and pretty, tabarakAllah :)

well.. being a Muslim (consciously now. since alhamdulillah i was born to muslim parents) has made me realize that carrying out something as a favour for someone feels good. But doing it voluntarily, joyfully an d willfully for a Being that is so Mighty feels even more wonderful, knowing that I will be rewarded for it. I'm just grateful that this way of life makes sense. It's logical in every way and I find Islam kind. Kind in every respect. :)
